TYLER ZAGER

Tyler Zager is a 17 year old chef from Weston, Florida. Tyler won Food Network's Kids BBQ Championship, which aired in the summer of 2016. He also appeared as a host on the kids takeover episode of Food Network's Beat Bobby Flay. He was a guest on SoFlo Taste with chef Michelle Bernstein. Tyler was featured in Family Circle Magazine’s December 2015 issue. He was also featured at the Wynwood Yard's Young Entrepreneur's Day.

Tyler holds a bake sale at his local farmer's market every month to raise money for No Kid Hungry, an organization dedicated to ending childhood hunger in America. He also will be a No Kid Hungry Bake Sale Hero this year. He has raised over ten thousand dollars for this charity in the last year with the help of his family members and friends.

Tyler’s interest in cooking began when he joined his grandma in the kitchen at a young age. His passion grew stronger as he began to take cooking lessons at Chefs and Artist, a local kid’s culinary school, as well as Publix Aprons cooking school where all of the chefs know and greet him.

Tyler only uses Florida fresh herbs, vegetables, fruits and fish in his cooking. He started his own garden in which he grows herbs, tomatoes, and other vegetables. In addition to cooking, Tyler enjoys golfing and spending time with his family. Food Network referred to Tyler as having a “penchant for public speaking.” He can strike up a conversation with anyone whether it be his teachers or the cashiers at his local grocery store.
